Abelard Alexis is a freelance comic artist and digital illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York. Whilst continuing to grow as an artist, his primary goal is to evoke a feeling of nostalgia but also originality through his illustrations and story telling.
With experience ranging from children books to being the lead color artist for Kishi And The Island Dreams, Abelard is always finding ways to make his work reminiscent but also authentic.
Abelard’s Alternia Prelude comic is a 2023 Glyph Comic’s Award nominee for Best Written. Not only has he created and published his Alternia comic, but he’s also illustrated a multitude of self-published titles such as ‘I Hate School’ by Nafeesah Rahman and ‘Your Hair is Your Crown’ by Tiffany Monge.
